Red Rockerz is an Indigenous electronic Funk music duo consisting of two close cousins, Louis-Philippe Moar and Oshim Ottawa. The group are from Manawan, an Atikamekw community in Québec.
Louis’ musical history started at an early age, when his father introduced him to DJ equipment and sound systems. Oshim started to play guitar and piano at his young age. Before they used the nickname of "Red Rockerz ", they used to call themselves by their real names. In 2007, the duo started to produce different kinds of music, from the Hardstyle to the French house.
In 2010, Louis-Philippe released his first solo music video " Goodbyes " and sent demos of his productions to Joey Stylez on Myspace and started to talk about music projects with Joey’s record company, Stressed Street Entertainment. In March 2012, Red Rockerz was founded and they released their first music video " Night glasses " as a group. By June 2012, he performed his first collaboration" Burn" alongside the multiple awards winner Joey Stylez and Drezus in Aboriginal Day live performing in Winnipeg.
On February 29th 2013, they signed a distribution deal with DEP distribution, an Universal Music group Canada company for their first album release "Electronic Gangster " which was nominated for Best Pop CD during the Aboriginal Peoples choice music awards in 2014.
Known for their catchy synthesized sounds and rhythmic, Red Rockerz include their Indigenous culture into their music by using their first language " Atikamekw " vocal samples, traditional songs and organic instruments such as Hand Drums, modern drums, Rattles and guitars. They also combine slapped basslines and distorted synthesizers. For their music production and recording they use the program Fl studio.

The album project “WASKO, which means the Universe in Atikamekw, began in 2016. The production of the album brings together several talented artists from multiple different backgrounds. Various musical inspirations, mainly coming from our youth, led us to create an album that will bring you into our unique futuristic Electro Pop universe, always keeping our precious indigenous cultural reference.
